September- Gma & Gpa Honsvick visit

September was such a fun month! We started the month with my birthday. It was great! Keven even made me a cake (ok I baked it, but he frosted it!) Then we were so happy to have my parents out for a visit. This was my Dad's first time coming out. They were able to stay for 10 days and we di something every day, except for the day we were going to go to the zoo, it rained. I was kind of happy to have a quiet day at home. We went to the beach, Washington DC, Amish Country, Nat'l Watch and Clock museum, Bushkill Falls, Valley Forge, and my parents took the bus downtown to tour the city alone. We had so much fun! Luke loved having grandma and grandpa here! Luckily Luke was amazing even with all the traveling. We did of course try to work around nap times, etc. so that kept him happy. I am sure all the gifts and love from the grandparents helped too! I think the favorite part of the visit was the overnight in Washington DC. We left right when Keven got home from school and drove to the Washington DC temple. While my parents did a session, we drove up to the Café Rio (the closest one around...yep 2-3 hours from our home...You Utahans are so lucky) we ate dinner and grabbed dinner for the parents. We enjoyed the sunset with the temple and then spent the night in a nearby hotel. We put Luke down and then played settlers with my parents in their room. It was a fun night. The next morning we had a great breakfast (Luke loved the array of food he was able to choose from for breakfast.) Then Keven and I went to the temple while my parents watched Luke. After that we ate lunch and headed to Washington DC for the day. We were way bummed because it was a jewish holiday so we couldn't go to the holocaust museum. But we saw the major monuments and then walked all the to the Arrlington Cemetary (it looked like a short walk, but it wasn't) and watched the Changing of the guard. It was really neat! It is always so much fun to go on adventures with our family. It is also just so much fun to have visitors! Break up the routine. Here are some pictures of our adventures!
